Gradient Love Crochet Heart and Necklace Pattern by Crochet For You.

Gradient Love Crochet Heart is a quick and super easy pattern to play with scrap yarns….  You can make a necklace pattern using this hearts plus, you can use these little hearts as embellishments for hats, headbands and more. Thanks to my Facebook followers for supporting to naming this pattern.

Skill level easy

Finished size: small

Materials (I used)

Worsted yarn

• A small amount of yarn less than 20 yards. (I used my scrap yarns)
• 5 mm crochet hook

 This pattern can be worked in any yarn weight. Gauge is not important for this project.

Abbreviations / stitch

• ch = chain
• sc = single stitch
• st = stitch
• ch-()sp = chain-(number of chains) spaces

 Special stitch

• sc2tog = Insert hook in next st or first st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull back through all 3 loops on hook at once.

Note: Crochet these little hearts in stripes or solid. It’s your choice.

• with multiple colors, join yarn at the end of row with ch 1.
• with one color, ch 1, turn.

ch 8

Row 1: sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next st, sc in next 3 sts. (8 sc sts)

Row 2: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st. (12 sc sts)

Row 3: sc2tog (see special stitch above), sc in next 4 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog. (12 sc sts)

Row 4: sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog. Fasten off and weave all ends. (10 sc sts)

Gradient Love Crochet Necklace

Join the yarn one of the top corner of the heart, crochet chains to get your desired length and make a slip stitch to the other side top corner of the heart. Fasten off and weave the ends.
