I don’t know how to do the FHDC, so how many chains would i do to crochet this scarf?
Erangi Udeshika
24 total chains. You should start with 24 chains and hdc in 3rd ch from the hook. hdc in each st across, ch 3 and turn. 🙂
Janet
thank you so much for answering my question.
Christine
The directions say fhdc 22, ch 3, turn.. above you say 24 total chains. What is the reason for the discrepancy? Is it because one is a chainless foundation and the other way is not?
Erangi Udeshika
Yes! because she didn’t know how to do FHDC. you need to crochet 24 chains for the foundation chains. ch 22+2 (22 chains and 2 more chains for the beg ch)
Christine
Thanks a bunch!! Love the chainless foundation.. it makes a very nice edge on this scarf. Very lovely pattern.

Hi, love this pattern. If I wanted to make it wider, what multiple would I need to use? Thanks
Erangi Udeshika
fhdc 46 + 3 for 10 shells in a row. I did a quick calculation, I think it’ll work. 🙂
