Mayuri’s Crochet Beanie – free pattern
Mayuri’s Crochet Beanie Pattern by Crochet For You.
As I told you last week I made this beanie with the pattern I used for Mayuri’s Tote Bag CAL. And the yarns are also leftover from the CAL. This Mayuri’s Crochet Beanie pattern is available in 3 sizes child, teen and adult. You will need approx:185 total yards of Red Heart Super Saver for adult size and less yards than for other 2 sizes.

Could this pattern be used for a scarf?
Erangi Udeshika
Yes! I think the pattern is great for a scarf too. This pattern can be crochet in rows. See Mayuri’s Tote Bag CAL – part 1. >> https://www.crochetforyoublog.com/2016/05/mayuris-tote-bag-cal-part-1/ Maybe I will crochet a scarf in the future. 🙂

Having a problem. Do you cut yarn at the ends of rounds 7 to 20? I can’t figure out how to do it without cutting and fastening off.
Erangi Udeshika
You can cut the yarn and join again when changing colors for a nicer finish for the inside of the hat. Or you can carry each yarn when it needs if you like, because of the weaving ends is lots of work. Carry the yarn in (WS) inside the hat.

Also, end of round 7 says to “sl st to first hdc” but round 7 is sc. Is this an error?
Erangi Udeshika
Yes, it’s a typo. I’ll fix and update. Thank you so much for letting me know about it. 🙂
