Chain Loop pompom
I followed great tutorial on A Crocheted Simplicity to make this chain loop pompom.
I crocheted 252 chains total. First, crochet 84 chains with red and join green color yarn and crochet 84 chains, again join orange color yarn and make 84 chains. (ch 255 total)
Do not drop the hook
To make loops, I counted 12 chains and inserted hook into that 12th chain, repeat this until the end and yarn over pull through all the loops on the hook, crochet one ch tightly to make it more secure. Cut the yarn and fasten off leaving about 6″ long yarn tail.
Finishing
Sew eyes with the tapestry needle and the yarn tail. Sew a black button on each eye using black color yarns. Sew beak between two eyes. Sew the wattle on one of a side of the beak.
