Crochet Bobble Drops Flower Hexagon Pattern by Crochet For You
Since you loving the Bobble Drops Flower Granny Square pattern, I thought to make another pattern using Bobble Drops Stitch. This time I made a Bobble Drops Flower Hexagon.
This hexagons can be used in lot of different projects by joining them together, like blankets, bags, pillows and more. Hope you enjoy the pattern as I did.

To make these hexagons I used special stitch called front post bobble stitch (fpbobble). This stitch adds 3D effect and beautiful texture to the pattern.

This crochet hexagon pattern made in 2 ways.
These two hexagons made in solid and with 2 colors.
The first hexagon pretty in solid color and the second hexagon made with two contrasting colors to pop out the flower out from the background. The final round of the second hexagon may little bit confuse some of you who unfamiliar with crochet in row below.

For this pattern I used 100% cotton Drops Paris UNI COLOR yarn but you can use any type of yarns to make this hexagon pattern. Also this pattern great as a stash busting project.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Finished sizes: 5.25″ in diameter
Materials:
- 4-Medium / Worsted / 100% Acrylic (Approx: 25 yards in total). For the 2-color hexagon you will need 8 yards in color 1 and 17 yards in color 2
- H-8 / 5mm crochet hook
- Tapestry needle for weaving ends
- Scissors
Gauge: Gauge is not very important for this pattern.
Abbreviations / special stitches
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- sk = skip
- ch-sp = chain- (number of chains) space
- beg = beginning
- *to ; = repeat * to the instructions.
- C1 = color 1
- C2 = color 2
Special stitches:
fpbobble = yarn over, insert the hook from front to back to front again around the post of next st, yarn over, pull back loop through the st, [yarn over, insert the hook from front to back to front again around the post of the same st, yarn over, pull back loop through the st] 2 times, yarn over, pull back through 6 loops on the hook, yarn over, pull back through 2 loops on the hook.
Notes: beg ch does not count as st.
With (C1) make a magic ring.
Round 1: ch 1, 9 sc into the ring, sl st to the first sc. (9 sc)
Round 2: ch 2 (does not not count as st), 2 dc in each st, sl st to the first st. (18 dc)
Round 3: ch 2 (does not count as st), fpbobble in first st, [3 dc in next st, fpbobble in next st, ch 3, fpbobble in next st] 5 times, 3 dc in next st, fpbobble in last st, ch 3, sl st to the first fpbobble st. (12 fpbobbles/18 dc/6 chain-3 spaces)
Round 4: ch 2 (does not count as st), dc in first st and next st, fpbobble in next st, dc in each of next 2 st, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-sp, *dc in each of next 2 st, fpbobble in next st, dc in each of next 2 dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-sp; repeat * to around, sl st to the first st. (6 fpbobbles/48 dc)
Round 5: ch 1 (does not count as st), sc in each st around, and 3 sc in each ch-sp. (72 sc)
Crochet Bobble Drops Flower Hexagon in 2 colors.
With (C1) make a magic ring.
Round 1: ch 1, 9 sc into the ring, sl st to the first sc. (9 sc)
Round 2: ch 2 (does not not count as st), 2 dc in each st, sl st to the first st. (18 dc)
Round 3: ch 2 (does not count as st), fpbobble in first st, [3 dc in next st, fpbobble in next st, ch 3, fpbobble in next st] 5 times, 3 dc in next st, fpbobble in last st, ch 3, sl st to the first fpbobble st. (12 fpbobbles/18 dc/6 chain-3 spaces)
Round 4: join (C2) yarn, ch 2 (does not count as st), dc in first st and next st, ch 1, sk next st, dc in each of next 2 st, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-sp, *dc in each of next 2 st, ch 1, sk next st, dc in each of next 2 dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-sp; repeat * to around, sl st to the first st. (48 dc)
(In this round all fpbobble working over the chain 1 and around the post of skipped st one row below)
Round 5: Join (C1) yarn, ch 1 (does not count as st), sc in first st and next st, fpbobble st in next st one row below, sc in each of next 4 st, 3sc in ch-sp, *sc in each of next 4 st, fpbobble in next st one row below, sc in each of next 4 st, 3 sc in ch-3 space; repeat * to around, after crocheting last sc, sl st to the first st. (6 fpbobbles/66 sc)
