Why Calls it Solstic?
The longest and shortest days of the year. The sun reaches its maximum in June and its minimum in December. So there are Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice every year.
I feel this crochet granny square great for making crochet project for all season and named it Solstice
This solstice granny square not too warm or lacy. By changing color pallets and the yarn weight you can use this granny square pattern for summer and winter crochet projects. See the photo below. I used bright and sunny colors and DK weight yarns to get a light and lacy texture. And I used Worsted weight yarn in warm & cozy colors to make it thick and comfy.
Warm in the winter and airy in the summer
As you can see this pretty granny squares are easy to crochet and beginner friendly. It is a combination of classic granny stitch and V stitch. You will make one row with 3 double crochet blocks and other row with V stitches.
Continuous Granny Square + Blanket
You can make it any size you want. Repeat the last 2 rows continually until you reach the desired size for a blanket.
