Last week two things happened accidentally. As a result of that, this beautiful pattern was born.
While I crocheting another pattern I found this stitch pattern and thought to make a new pattern using the stitch.
And I wanted to buy dark chocolate color to make a sweater for my dad. While I select yarns for that, I saw this color and like it. The color matches perfectly with the fall season. Everything gathered for one purpose and I am falling love with this pattern.

“Fall In Love” is a unisex scarf pattern for all men and women. It wraps well, twists well and stretches comfortably around the neck. Fall In Love pattern is not only for the fall season. You can make it with various types of yarn and match colors for all season. This will be my favorite every day (infinity) scarf.
Skill level Easy
Finished size
- scarf = 6.5” width and 51” long
- infinity scarf = 6.5” width and 51” around
Materials (I used)
- Sport weight yarn (14WPI) approx: 450 yards.
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
You can use any type of yarns and crochet hook goes with the yarn you select.

Red Heart E728.1882 Soft Yarn, Toast
Gauge 19 dc x 8 rows = 4” with 4.5mm crochet hook
Abbreviations (US Term)
- beg = beginning
- ch(s) = chain(s)
- dc = double crochet
- fpdc = front post double crochet
- bpdc = back post double crochet
- st(s) = stitch(s)
- sk = skip
- ch-sp = chain-space
Note: beg ch 3 counts as dc. For make infinity scarf, finish the pattern with even number of rows, And odd number of rows for traditional scarf
Fall-In Love (Infinity) Scarf Pattern
ch 36+5. (multiple of 3+5)
Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook. dc in each st across. (39 sts total with beg ch 3)
Row 2: ch 3 (count as dc), turn, bpdc in next st, *ch 2 loose, sk 2 sts, bpdc in next st* repeat *to* until last st. dc in last st. (13 bpdc / 2 dc / 12 ch-sp)
Row 3: ch 3 (count as dc), turn, *fpdc in next st, 2 dc in ch-sp* repeat *to* until last st, dc in last st. (13 fpdc / 26 dc)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length. To make an infinity scarf, finish the pattern with the even number of rows, And the odd number of rows for the traditional scarf.
I did 126 rows for the infinity scarf and 127 rows for the traditional scarf.
Finishing
- Infinity scarf = Fasten off and seam the ends together to make a long loop. fasten off and weave the ends.
- Scarf = After crocheting an odd number of rows, fasten off and weave the ends.
